Barrier Access Cards

Barrier Access Cards – This is a smart card required for access through the barrier gates at the security for residents with vehicles.

  1. Entitlement
    1. Every unit in Al Hamra Village is entitled to 2 barrier access cards. If already issued, then new cards are chargeable at AED 150 per card. Non-Refundable.
    2. Vehicle details and driving license details should be provided to get a barrier access card.
  2. How To Get The Card
    1. Walk-in to AHRED Office between 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (Sun - Thurs), 2nd Floor and fill out the forms completely with vehicle details. Alternatively download the form here and submit the filled document at the office.
    2. After processing, you will receive a notification that your card/s is/are ready for collection. Please bring authorization letter from owner (if applicable) and your ID. You can download the authorization letter here.
  3. Charges (collectible upon issuance of the card/s)
    1. For cards not handed over for that unit to the owner and still present with AHRED – FREE (up to maximum allowable no. of card)
    2. For New Owners by Handover from AHRE – FREE (up to maximum allowable no. of card)
    3. For New Tenants renting from AHRE directly – FREE (up to maximum allowable no. of card). Cards not returned at the time of termination of rental contract, charges of 150 AED per card are applicable.
    4. For New Owners by Transfer of Property from another owner- AED 150 for every additional card
    5. For tenants of Privately-owned units – AED 150 for every additional card
    6. For residents requesting extra card due to:
      • Lost Card – AED150 for every card (old card/s will be deactivated)
      • Damaged/Broken/Disfigured Card – FREE. Provided damaged card is returned, otherwise it will be considered lost.

    1. Owners

    2. New AHRE tenants

    3. New tenants staying in privately-owned units
      • Access Card Registry Form [Download here]
      • Copy of valid ID (Passport, Emirates ID, or UAE Driving License)
      • Authorization letter from Owner [Download here]
    4. Residents applying for extra cards due to loss
      • Access Card Registry Form [Download here]
      • Copy of valid ID (Passport, Emirates ID, or UAE Driving License)
      • Authorization letter from Owner [Download here]
      • Letter confirming status of previous card/s issued
    Note: Number of barrier cards to be issued depends on the number of vehicle details provided. (e.g. 2 cards to be issued against 2 cars’ information)
  5. Expiry
  6. Access cards do not expire.
  7. Processing time
  8. Cards are issued within 3 working days after application.
  9. Refund
  10. There are no refunds on cards that are already issued.
